Took this picture standing on the very edge looking down the waterfalls, probably about a 100 feet (30 meters) or so high. You could actually hear the roaring of this waterfalls as you approached it and there was a heavy mist created too.

You stood on the edge and you stand under the pier...big sigh...Wonderful capture. I'm glad the power of this waterfall is contained. Especially now that I've seen water out of it's banks. We're on dry ground:-) Beautiful image, John and btw, I saw a post today on a site where the guy linked you because he loves your waterfall shots so much and he wants to be able to shoot them like you. You're inspiring us all. Stay back from the edge! (I sound like my Mother:-) sherri @ 2008-04-14 12:35:10
John you lives dangerous, please no risk ;-) - Very nice capture! Klaus @ 2008-04-14 13:16:08

Nice effect with the water, very impressive view ;) Slyvain @ 2008-04-14 14:31:40
Be careful those rocks looks very slippery.
Beautiful processing, one can really feel how the water runs fast, down. Great one M a d . P h o t o . W o r l d @ 2008-04-14 14:38:51
The watter almost looks like a blanket, covering the rocks. I like the perspective in the middle of all the chaotic waves and rocks. NJ & SB Photography @ 2008-04-14 14:44:22
It is hard to judge the scale from this image, but I am sure its way down. You be careful now. Oswegan @ 2008-04-14 14:50:55

Very creative view. Handheld? Love the view and perspective. Nick @ 2008-04-14 19:58:42
Interesting capture - and am sure you were careful. However I can't imagine even attempting something like that. Obviously heights don't bother you, but it still sounds very risky. Daina @ 2008-04-14 21:24:13
That is a terrific composition. I like the movement. Michael Rawluk @ 2008-04-14 21:36:29
Seems like you got yourself in a precarious spot for this photo. I really like your vantage point here, but be sure to keep on the side of safety. Sean @ 2008-04-14 21:56:18
